1,2,3 DISK DIRECTORY
by
Daniel R. Winstead
COMMODORE POWER/PLAY MAGAZINE
April/May, 1986
p.86
This program was written for those
frugal types out there. You know the
type-- the kind of person who will
drain a ketchup bottle for hours
before opening a new bottle. The
kind of person who uses coupons at
the 7-Eleven.
Instead of ketchup, 1,2,3 DISK
DIRECTORY saves paper when you print
out your disk directories. Normally,
when you make a printout of a disk
directory, only one directory will be
on a page-- leaving the page two
thirds blank. DISK DIRECTORY fills
that space.
How? It is simple. DISK DIRECTORY
reads up to three disk directories
into memory and then prints the
directories in three columns on an 80
column page.
Before you use this program, make
sure that your printer is ready.
Then when you run the program, you
are prompted to enter the number of
disks you will be working with.
After you enter the number, you are
prompted to insert each disk into the
drive. You must press a key to
continue.
When the last directory is read,
the printout will begin.
To run this program, exit Loadstar,
type LOAD"123 DIRECTORY",8 and hit
return. Then type RUN and return.
